Membership in the IVTA is categorized. 
Registered Veterinary Technicians are defined as persons who are currently Registered
with the Health Professions Bureau in the State of Indiana. Persons who are not
registered as such must consider themselves nonregistered.
Active In-State members include Registered Veterinary Technicians who reside
in the State of Indiana. Active members in good standing also have the right to
hold office providing criteria set by the Executive Board are met.
The Active Out-of-State members are comprised of Registered Veterinary Technicians
who live outside the state of Indiana. These members have the right to vote and
pay dues, but may not hold office.
The IVTA welcomes veterinary employees who are not RVT's as Associate members.

Elections by popular vote are held annually. Term of office runs from January
through December. New officers are introduced at the Fall Conference prior to
taking office in January.
The Indiana Veterinary Technicians Association welcomes all persons who are interested
