Congratulations! As you probably realize, Veterinary Technicians are in great demand. The IVTA wishes you well in your endeavor to hire a veterinary technician for your practice. Here are a few suggestions for you:
1) Contact the veterinary technology schools directly:
- Notify the Purdue Veterinary Technology Program Office. Your opening will be entered in the Placement Book and into a computer database. The IVTA then publishes the jobs listed in each quarterly newsletter issued. This service is automatic and performed at no charge to you.

2) Place a classified advertisement in the IVTA newsletter. The IVTA Newsletter Editor will be happy to place an advertisement in the newsletter. The fees are as follows:
½ page $25.00 each issue
full page $50.00 each issue

3) Send your own advertisement to Veterinary Technicians. The IVTA will sell a set of pre-printed address labels to prospective employers for a fee of $100. The labels are printed from our membership with ~ 200 names and can be sorted by zip code allowing you to send labels within the state, or surrounding states (or beyond). We make no guarantees as to the response to your mailing. The list is kept as up to date as possible. Contact IVTA a the above address to order labels.
4) Post your job opening on the IVTA website. (This is a new service currently under construction, so please bear with us!) Just open the document link below and fill in the blanks, then email the completed document to the IVTA office at indianavta@yahoo.com
